A couple weeks ago I was in Montana and came across a very cool calendar. It's a perpetual calendar made by a company called Sticks. The company has some very cool items, but for the most part they are not exactly my taste. Also they are very expensive which, unfortunately, is not in the budget to be my taste. The idea stuck with me though, and I've decided to make one of my own. At home our calendar is a whiteboard with permanent black lines on it and I just change the numbers and month name. Lame! Here are a couple so you can see what I'm thinking of:
These are just a few of the many calendars they make. Personally I tend to go for patterns and pictures that aren't quite so busy as these, so mine is going to look very different... but the idea will be the same. This is all I'm really posting about - I haven't actually started making it yet (don't want to do that until I finish my current project) but I get excited and impatient when I've decided on something I want to do, especially when I'm not able to get started on it yet. Also by posting this, it means I can't wuss out and decide it would be too hard or too much work. I've announced it to the world, which means now I have to do it!
I like this idea. And I agree, these calendars are beautiful but too busy. I'll be interested to see just what you end up doing. Good choice for a project.
ReplyDeleteThanks, you know I think you are just about the only person who reads this blog. I am clearly soooo popular.
ReplyDeleteDid I tell you that they also do a dining room table that is to die for?
