Perpetual Calendar

I like to take on big projects. Usually I get halfway through a project and start to wonder what I was thinking! Then I take a break - there was a long break in the middle of laying down our hardwood floors where nothing got done - and when I come back, I just get it done. Maybe I just like the idea of doing things myself and then sometimes forget how much effort it can be! I am currently working on a very large project that I am SO close to finishing, and I will be posting that up soon. In the meantime, I have (of course) already chosen my next big project.

A couple weeks ago I was in Montana and came across a very cool calendar. It's a perpetual calendar made by a company called Sticks. The company has some very cool items, but for the most part they are not exactly my taste. Also they are very expensive which, unfortunately, is not in the budget to be my taste. The idea stuck with me though, and I've decided to make one of my own. At home our calendar is a whiteboard with permanent black lines on it and I just change the numbers and month name. Lame! These are just a few of the many calendars they make. Personally I tend to go for patterns and pictures that aren't quite so busy as these, so mine is going to look very different... but the idea will be the same. This is all I'm really posting about - I haven't actually started making it yet (don't want to do that until I finish my current project) but I get excited and impatient when I've decided on something I want to do, especially when I'm not able to get started on it yet. Also by posting this, it means I can't wuss out and decide it would be too hard or too much work. I've announced it to the world, which means now I have to do it!
