A decision at last

For a while I've been working on projects around my home, but most everything I've done so far has been big things - putting in wood floors, refinishing the bathroom vanities, redoing the showers, that sort of thing. With big projects I stick with neutral colors because these things are permanent... only now I realize that I have lived here almost 4 years and there is no color anywhere. Everything is in shades of white or brown! I don't dislike my color choices, but it's time to stop my house from looking so boring. Step one: decide on a color theme. I have been working on step one for... about a year. Maybe more. I keep pushing it aside because I really just didn't know what I wanted to be looking at every day. Every time I decide on colors I reject it soon after because I didn't really like my choice that much in the first place. Then a week ago it hit me: peacock. I love peacock colors! So bold and rich! It's not like I'm looking to paint my walls or anything - I just need accent colors, so bold is perfect! I immediately started looking online for ideas and there are some truly brilliant designs out there. I started collecting at random so I'm afraid to say I don't know the origin of many of these photos but if I find out I will update.

Just look at those colors, I am absolutely envious right now. As I work on decorating my kitchen hopefully I'll come up with some good ideas to incorporate these colors. And speaking of my kitchen, I just finished the wall tonight! Look for pictures in the next day or two!
