Well the day has come... my little Matthew man has finally had his first haircut!

Well, his first official haircut. I trimmed a few long pieces a little while ago, but it had finally gotten to the point where it was just looking long and shaggy! This was a big day for him, er... me. I really haven't talked about hair on my blog before, so for those of you who don't know me in the regular world (non blog land), I'm a hairstylist.
Here he is looking quite shaggy! This was actually taken about 6 months ago, so just imagine how shaggy it had gotten! No really, you'll have to imagine it because apparently I was careful to smooth his hair in all of his pictures... so I can't seem to find any shaggy ones.
Regardless...
Check out this cutie! (Sorry for the cell phone picture.)
He freaked out at the very beginning, but he calmed down thanks to
Baby Einstein and a Hershey's Kiss. Hey, I do what I have to!
{don't be fooled by his seemingly angelic look in this picture....}
He is growing up so fast I can hardly stand it.
It's a bit sad to realize he's not quite my little baby anymore.
On to bigger and better things though, right? I've always called him
my little man, and he sure is starting to be just that!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! I've been MIA lately... that always seems to happen around this time of year. I just can't keep up! I do have lots of posts in the works, some of them would have been better before Christmas, but too late now.
On a side note... is anyone interested in hair/beauty related posts? I never post that sort of thing here because it doesn't exactly seem to tie in with the theme of my blog... but if there's interest!
Happy Friday!

Oh my gosh this is the cutest picture of him yet...great job on his haircut. When we get home maybe Matthew and Opa can get their hairs cut together!
ReplyDeleteWhat a little cutie. Nothing like the first haircut. I remember scooping up the hair and and putting it in a baggie. I never labeled it and with three children all blond I don't remember who's is who's.
