a few of my favorite things

It's been kind of quiet around here lately... I actually have a project completely finished, I just haven't had time to take the "after" pictures! I'll get around to it. Until then, here are a few of my favorite things I've come across while wandering around the internet. I have a draft in my email where I save design ideas... links to pictures I love, or projects I would love to do some day, or just things that are so adorable I wish I had a reason to buy/make! I don't look at it often enough, so I think I'll start posting them up here, where I won't possibly forget them! So here are some things rattling around in my brain this week...

Artist Peter Slight does these great shadowbox pictures (click here and here to check them out), I could definitely see them hanging in a nursery! No plane themed ones, so maybe not Matthew's current nursery... but some kid, some day! Or maybe I could think of a plane themed one to make myself...

Young House Love did a post today about turning glass bottles into drinking glasses... it didn't work out so well for them, but this project sounds like just my type of thing! I am definitely going to be trying it out!

Better Homes and Gardens has and article on how to make your own ottoman! Matthew is at that age where he is just playing non stop! He's hit his head a couple times on our coffee table but thankfully nothing serious has happened yet... our table has particularly sharp corners and I can not wait to get something better! I don't like the exact look of this ottoman, but the concept is right, and it wouldn't be too hard to make!

I really like this pendant light... what would you think of this in a bathroom? Maybe? I've been looking for a hanging light solution for our main bath and I like this!

I also really like this one from Pottery Barn

I found this great peacock print and thought it might be perfect to put up on the wall, it would go great with my peacock color theme I have started!

Happy Thursday!
